Never had an issue of aggression with the African Butterfly, but I would more watch the convicts for fin nipping.

Depends on the tank size. Butterflies are only agressive with small bugs and tiny fish. If this is a small tank, it'll likely get, to quote the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, " straight up murderized" by the convicts, especially if their breeding. If the tank is larger, they probably won't even notice it.

depending on how big of a tank and i'm assuming this is a small one considering there's only 3 fish in it, the cons would be too aggressive toward it.

I don't think they're really aggresive...but they will eat smaller fish. They're notorious tank jumpers though.

Nice Reds too!!! Where'd y'all catch em???

I have an african butterfly fish in my 75 gallon community. I honestly forget he's in the tank sometimes until I look down and there he is.

Mine will eat flakes, pellets, krill, bloodworms..

He minds his own, and even when I had 2 others in the tank he didn't care. None of them did.
