Anyone have an adult true albino GG?

Not those disgusting pink ones with the vericose veins all over, I mean teh silvery platinum looking red eye GG's? Oddballer posted some in his imports thread.

I've seen juvies, curious to know if anyone has raised one? I had one before but it was destroyed by my RTGG's, and I just picked up another one yesterday and I'm impatient to see it bigger :ROFL:

It wont take long before it's a 12" sub-adult, but still :D

Mine is just a little turd still but I'll get a pic when I get home.

If you search for 'albino GG' on mfk, there is a thread with a mag scan, and oddballer posted a pic of the ones that passed through his facility. :D

Tried the search but can't find the threads, I never have much luck with the search facility.

I'll just sit back and wait for your pictures, heavy feeding etc. until it grows into a monster:popcorn:
 
Found a thread with the pics I was talking about. I'm hoping they don't turn pink when they're older like in Neo's pic. We'll see eventually I guess:

No I was talking about the pics in the link I posted. Looks like Mr Gussy is a pink GG.

I'll get some pics when I get home, though I have some old crappy pics of the first true albino I had found.

I was going from the eye color from the smaller fish, Li's post under it is the spit of Mr G and that must have swayed me/reminded me. The eyes on the smaller fish don't seemed to have the albino red tint to them

I've done a little digging for you and found this(amongst others):

They all seem to look the same as Mr G and the small ones in the link you provided(going off the eye color only), it looks like your in the same situation as me with the exodon, GGs are fairly common if you look for them, the rare ones are a real pain regarding research and people thinking they have an X but really have a Y

I'll crawl back into my hole and wait for your pics later(although I may be asleep);)


 
Thanks for the link! I came across that one and it does look closer to what I"m talking about, but the pics are blurry and the lighting is all over the place (makes the fish look blue in one pic, and pink in another).

I did have a pink one before, and I notice they tend to have 'gold cap' on the snout, same yellow eyes, only with black instead of red.

True albino GG's dont' have the same jewel red eyes like oscars, but it's noticeable the lack of black color in them.


Don't go too far you're one of the few people that are hardcore into GG's :D
