Anyone have any idea if you can make aquarium plants?

When I initially set up my 120 I went to Michaels and a local dollar store. Bought a lot of vine type, nonwired plants and plastic cross stitch canvas and filled the tank for $40.

I usually buy fake plants from hobby lobby and zip tie them to eggcrate
