anyone have any idea what this is...sorry no pics

There is a little cichlid at my LFS that is neat looking, but I don't know what kind he is. The only way I can descibe him is he looked like a tiny snakehead. He was white based with black striping, elongated, and only about 1.5" long. He was in with some other africans, so i am assuming he is an African cichlid. Any ideas?? I am trying to google some stuff, but so far no luck. maybe I'll get a pic this week of him.

No he wasnt a johanni...same shape, but not blue. I haven never seen one like this before. Could be some type of pike...I will have to do some more research. i cant get back to the place until sometime this week.

from my memory, he looked similar to this:

in which case he is indeed a type pike cichlid.
