anyone have experience with snails and FH??

I can no longer keep my beast with other fish so
I'm trying zebra nerite snails to control algae. they are roughly an inch in size.
So far he seems to not care about them.


Anyone ever had issues using these with big fish?
ie.he could swallow them if he wanted to and might not be able to pass it

Do you think he can crush the shell if he were to eat one?
The snails seem to be pretty robust in their own right.

Zebra nerites are nice snails. I have them in most of my tanks including my flowerhorn tank. He never messes with them. They do a great job cleaning.

Great, now I can pick up some of the RED's!

At the same time I put some of the bumblebee nerites in my planted tank.
awesome little horned nerite if you can get them.
they are small enough to climb on every stem

Oh the horned nerites. The ones I've seen have been in bad shape. Hopefully I'll find some decent ones sometime, share some photo of yours . I also enjoy the spotted rabbit snails. Unfortunately the flowerhorns mess with those, I think it's their hopping movement.

I've never seen a hopping snail, I got to check that out just to see it

I will try to get a picture of the horned bumblebee's.
