anyone have I.D. for this juvenile

Found him/her at local pet store and bought because looked different.It's not anything they had listed and priced.Prices on fish in tank ranged from $3-$9 ,told them i'd give'em $5 ,SOLD!Also bought a Tex at the same time,kept both in quarantine 2weeks.Have been in commun tank for a week now,and in the three weeks this thing doubled in size.He's also a mean little sucker,runs other cichlids twice his size.

I thought maybe it was a red devil ,but it looks different from the devil i had before that jumped out of tank and dried up before i found him.Any help on I.D. much appreciated.Thank You.

it will be orange soon, its not done peeling.

looks like a RD/midas,

will loose the black soon and become orange/red/white.

Yah the black on him is what through me off.The suicidal Rd was a yellow/white.I live in the Menomonie area.About 10 miles off I94 ,and 1 hour from MN border.

I remember our gym teacher told us a story of a high school team(forgot what town exactly) was supposed to come and play our guys Menomonie, WI but instead the bus driver drove them all the way to Menominee, Michigan
