Ever had one of the aquarium tables they come in coffee table and end table styles? Just wonder if you had and what they are like for maintanece.

Never had one but saw a very nice sw tide pool set up in one.

yeah never had one, but the whole top glass pain comes off and then you have to get on your knees to clean it, looks the part but are a pain in the behind to clean.

anybody got a pic of this to share?

First time I saw one I thought... MMM kewl, then it occured to me that I'd be tripping over the power cord all the time if it were in the middle of the room.

They have cord guards for that, here are a couple types, the first is 28G the second is 36G

I had a client that owned one. It was a freeken night mare.THere is not a real good way to filter one of these with out hoses and tubing showing and detracting from the appearance of the tank. I tried an undergravel but the bubbles put major condensation on the underside of the table top, it also got that bacterial film on the underside. Needed to be cleaned every few days. I tried a canister which worked better but it was a major detractor from the tank, no really good way to hide it and it got kicked all the time. Theres not enought room under the tank to hide a filter under it. Not a good way to light one of these either. I had nothing but trouble with the one I maintained. Neat looking but in the real world, it was a bad idea.....

These look cool but I can only imagine how much of a problem it would be, friends coming over , kicking their feet up and leaving coke cans all over it!, just think about having your other tanks on the ground right in the middle of the room with everyone walking by! plus I cant tell you how many times I stubbed my toe on the regular coffee table! But then again they do look cool ! if you decide to get one let us know how it goes, and if anyone else has pics show us!
