anyone have or sell the heater glass?

I have a visitherm 175w heater that my son broke and i need the glass for it.Yeah, i know that i can buy another but I'd rather just fix this one,so that i don't just throw away a perfectly good heater.

The glass is non replaceable, your up for a new heater.

However if its onl cracked you can try silicone to reseal it.

Try? Iv never heard of this and it just sounds like a really really bad idea. You could electrocute and or cook your fish pretty easy using a broken heater.

throw it away... but i doubt you'll electrocute your fish. one of my oscars cracked the glass on the heater and the only reason i saw that it broke was because the inside of the heater started turning a brown color.

what? he wanted an idea. Theres no reason to use a broken one but if you want to use one it would be worth a shot. also silicone isnt conductive and more than likely youd just short out the heater and kill it anyway.
