Anyone Have Pics Of A Reticulated Ray???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Don't have any pics but usually they're cheap. Locally I can get them for 40.00 but have seen vendors charge around 70.00... Think tfd has them for like 20-30.00 range.

Not one of the best rays to start with though.

120 canadian doesn't sound like a horrible price esp since fish seem to be a little more expensive up there.

I say they're not the best ones to start with because many people buy them thinking because they're smaller/cheaper they're good starter rays. And really IMO and several others opinions they're not. Majorly because most you will see at a lfs don't eat very well and they can be hard to get to eat for some reason. If you have a choice then I would start with a motoro.

You might be ok.. Really when you're buying a ray or any fish in person you should ask to see them eat at the LFS. But with some coaching on here if you were to have some problems with him eating you should be able to work it out.

IMO it will probably be harder starting out with a retic IMO but it's not a lost cause.

The smaller darker ray in this thread is a retic... A very thin retic(notice it's almost completely flate with no hump in the middle) http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23334&highlight=retic+ray

heres my retic, got him for 50$
about 6 inches in diameter
