I have been just looking around for another little pet that I could have, and scorpions came to mind. So I was just wondering if anyone here has them, and if you do could you put up some pics and tell your experience with them, thanks in advance if you do!

my buddy has 2 black scorpions, basically they are something to look at and not hold, altho my other friend does hold them. feed them crickets and give the a borrow, use woodchips for substrate.

i used to have 6 scorpions. I kept them in an Odell custom betta tank with dividers. I had an Emperor,Israeli Morris, Peruvian, Asian,Whiptail, and one from Arizona. Used red sand as substrate, fed them crickets. The emperor could have eaten pinkies but I never fed that to him.

Scorpions are very easy to care for, but they have drasticly different needs depending on the species. Some come from deserts, and may never see standing water in the wild. Others come from rainforests, and need high humidity at all times. Like with any new pet, do research before you get it.

I have 5 at the moment, including 2 that are semi-dangerous. The best tip I can give you is to keep their enclosures well covered. They are amazing escape artists. I had one climb on top of another, and go over the side of the tank with the one on the bottom holding on to the climbers tail, so they both escaped. Luckly I was cleaning the tank at the time, and was able put them both back without incident.

I'd recommend a Desert Hairy (Hadrurus arizonensis) or a Dune scorpion (Smeringurus mesaensis)...keep both dry, on sand with a temp of around 85 degrees.

Both of these are a bit more venomous and a lot more aggressive than an emperor but in return you get a more active scorpion, a scorpion that shows a threat display at the drop of a hat, a specie that you don't have to worry about humidity (except for to much) and one that practically always stings it's prey.
