i just got some and im wondering how popular it is. its odd feeling, almost like a resin texture but it looks like driftwood and is. should i soak it to remove any tannins? it looks ready to be placed in a tank now, i think ill wait and soak it anyways. who has this stuff???

I have african swahala in one of my tanks at work.
I boiled the piss out of mine with some salt and the water was more coffee than tea after an hour. I was suprised how much I got out of it.
