Curious - have these ever been available and does anyone have one, or had one? What happened? Tell me about them :)

Just chasing stories of Pangasianodon gigas.
 
We don't really know, I've not read of any definitive cases, there's claims but we don't know how to ID them quite.
 
For those who have true giants only fishing resort/ponds. Like moe said, hobbyists have claim to have em but it's not definitive because no one have grown em more than 3'. Gigas which already exceeds more than 3' should have definitive features like eyes' position and yellowish sheen (well, from my observation).
 
So in smaller sizes they're too similar to other species and no ones kept those possible ones to be big enough to tell? That's a bummer but I totally understand since they all seem very active so would need a giant tank..

That's a likely scenario and there is a member who might have had one.I can't recall his name and he hasn't posted in some time but I will see if I can't find his thread.
 
Yea bob claimed to have one. Vince as well. Btw vincentwugwg vincentwugwg how big is your possible Mekong cat now? Still got it right?
