Did some searching through the site but didnt find anything that led anywhere. So has anyone heard of or seen other variants of the grammodes?

I recall reading a discussion with Don Conkel from 2006 or 2007 about grammodes where he said that there was more than 1 locale and that he had seen several variants.

Ive had both and they both retained their blue and yellow colors respectively until I got rid of them at 6-7 inches.

Possibly blue (like you can get from Rapps)

and yellow (that you can get from Don Conkel & suppliers).

Also, 1 thing about the DCT fish (Don Conkels Tropicals) is that the majority of Dons fish are kept outside in ponds until shipped so that might have something to do with the coloration difference. An abundance of vitamin D and larger living quarters.

The sun can make the blandish of fish reflect a myriad of color in a natural habitat.

I agree, I think there's definitely something to the large water volume and natural sunlit conditions that operations like DCT use to keep fish.

just somethig thats been on my mind. I wanna learn more about these fish but there isnt much on them. Mine are becoming more aggressive and compared to my rapps grammodes(RIP) they look a lil different. Does anyone have pics of their males and females.
