anyone heard of this panaque?

Local seller told me he has a "super black" royal...dont think ive ever heard of it.

He's also got a volkswagon pleco, which i think ive tracked down to be an LDA 65.

anyone with experience on these wanna chime in with particulars?
fish were kind of expensive at 75-100 for each one. just wanted to learn about em before i thought more about purchasing.

My initial thought, although I've never heard of a 'super back royal', was Hemiancistrus pankimpuju as I've seen these called 'black imperial panaque' before. There also some colour variants of Panaque bathyphilus which are devoid of pattern and appear grey/black.

in my opinion the super black looks really REALLY nice.
the volkswagon kind of just looks like a black papa with the lyretails and the way the head is shaped...

what does everyone think?
