so my 6 year old Florida gar jumped out of the tank a day after i moved him to a 210g:cry:. anyone know where i can find a alligator gar to replace him? pm me with what you got

so you are trying to replace your dead fish with the thing that can grow more than 10 time! go to Mississippi river and catch one !

You really sure that you want an alligator gar and not another Florida gar?

True alligator gar seem to be hard to come by and are usually a bit pricey from all of the online vendors that I have had them for sale. They also get huge and aren't a good choice for most people, especially if you have limited aquarium space. I know that Aquascape Online has them from time to time, but they're $85.00.

EDIT: It seems that Kevin beat me to posting the place that sometimes has them. ;)

there was one for sale in the Northeast region of the classifieds out of Long Island. I THINK it was a gator gar.

Yes, there still is a 17" alligator gar for sale out of Long Island, but I doubt that the OP would want to drive all that way to get it since it was pick-up only.

Yes, Jeremy's is still for sale. It is a great looking fish, I've seen it in person. That is a helluva hike for you, though.
