I was wondering if anyone here has any experience keeping Mandarin/Emperor newts? I am really interested in these because of the beautiful coloring, please share any info or pics on these if you have it! Thanks!

Just 2 little tips: Look up tiger salamanders. They can be kept almost the same way, and are more well-known. Reading up on the better literature about them should help you.

And stay away from aqualandpetsplus.com :) They got some NASTY caresheets that I cannot begin to understand...

Your best bet is to attend one of the herp shows that are held a few times through the year.I purchased two from a Hamburg,Pa. show for $20 each back in Oct.I dont know if those are held in your area but they probably would be in better shape than any a pet store might have, one thing to keep in mind is that they are not aquatic animals but they do live in moist mountain forests so your enclosure should mimic that. The ones that I seen in pet stores were kept in tanks half filled with water with minimal rest areas. They are slow movers, they eat slow also, mine like to eat earthworms.
