Anyone here keeps Fiddler or other type of crabs?

Wondering if anyone has kept or are keeping any and how are their setups like?


I remember a buddy of mines used to keep some Fiddler crabs in a 10g with a driftwood sticking out the middle and they would always fight for the highest spot. I'm thinking about maybe setting up something similar down the road.

I used to have a setup for red clawed crabs. I had them in a 20gallon tank, with about 80% water space and the rest was gravel, they did very well in this set up, they was lots of space so they never fought for a basking spot, food, or a hide spot.

Had a fiddler while working at a pet store, a customer dropped if off after it kept escaping from his tank (surprise surprise). I had it in a 10g, half sand half water about 2 inches deep. I didn't measure the salinity but i was adding a small amount of marine salt. It lived for about 6 months in my possession.

I tried once in a brackish 55 gallon with a land portion, in a tank that included archers and a mudskipper, and I thought it looked pretty cool, although at some point the skipper might be able to eat the fiddler
