I see alot of posts about Fluval and Eheim but rarely see anyone posting about Magnum. Even on the net there's not much reviews on these filters. Just picked up a C-360 yesterday and thinking about the C-530 series next.

I would guess there is a reason not much is said about them.
Funny though, Marineland has the best customer service of any manufacturer, you would think some would have given it a shot.
Guess the FX5 has that end of the market sowed up.

Just finished setting up the first of 2 c-530's. I have owned 2 350's for years and have been very satisfied. If the setup on the 530's is any indication of the filters ability then I would score it a 10 out of 10.

You forgot to mention Eheim. FX5 can not touch Eheim the only reason they have made the mark they have is price and availability.

i have all three eheim,fx5,marineland 360(running on different tanks). Out of all them i like the fx5 the best ,turns over more water and i have had less maintenance problems. The c-360 went for 5 years no problems until recently it leaked(but marineland replaced the whole top section for me ffor free)i hate my eheims they are hard to ciphon to get started and i have had three leak on me and eheim customer service is thrash.but that just my experience everyone has there own favorites for what ever reasons. i would buy a marineland c-530 and fx5 at the drop of a hat,i will never buy eheim canisters again(but i love there heaters though)
