Anyone in NY ever visit this LFS?

OH MY GOD NO!!!! i visited that store last feb/march or so, and honest to god, i think it has to be the worst store ive ever been in.

the fish were INSANELY overpriced, many were injured, diseased with ich, HITH and fungus', and several tanks had fish that were actually rotting out they had been in there so long.

i made a post awhile back about the place as well, and a couple other members had the same experience with the place.
 
Thats sad.Sounds like the place should be shut down or least fined.

when was the last time you heard a petstore or owner being fined for fish abuse??

its about as likely to happen as someone being fined for cruelty to a house fly, considering most people wouldent consider them much different.

but unless they have made some major improvements, that store does need to be shut down. its pathetic when ive seen wal-marts that took better are of their fish.

I dont know about New York but a store owner here was cited because he had left the store closed for some time and had'nt been inside to tend to the animals.It was my favorite store and just as I stopped by, the ASPCA official was there waiting for someone to come,he told me that no one has been to the store to feed the animals and his office had received complaints and he said when somone did come,he would issue fines.
