in the fish room
I have no room left. I'm tempted to put a 75-150G tank up in my room upstairs. My question is has anyone done this?? I'm scared that it might be too heavy for 2nd floor. I live in a 2 story 3room house. Do you think it will be ok?. Reply please!

there are totally 9 tanks on the third floor of my house
my first tank was a 45g
then came the 180g
then came the 95g
then came the 50g
then came the 220g................................

I heard in another thread that has long as your house is not over 50YO then you are fine with anything under 300. I think it is fine. my bro has a 30 upstairs with a Solid wooden stand then the tank its self witch is alittle over 300lbs and me my mom my step dad and both my bros have stood around it with no problem. PS. thats 1240lbs approx. A 75 would be like 900 Max.

I don't have one upstairs but i wouldn't be against it if my house was newer but its old ( how old IDK) but I don't think I would sleep very well after putting anything over 75gal upstairs anyway. But thats just me

i have a 55 upstairs in my apt...no problem. for a 75 and a 100 im sure it would work.im getting a 75,i would get bigger but my apt already said something about all my 40's and 20 longs

I have a 75 in my room...I doubt it weighs anymore than 750 lbs total. I'm not worried at all.

Some peoples bed at night weighs a grand. I don't think a tank that size would be a problem. If your really woried find out where the beams are and try to line the tank up across them.
