Anyone keep these nifty livebearers? Pics? Cheers.

I did 14 yrs ago. Very cool predator. Females get bigger than males and will need lots of cover or the male will get beat up. Gives live birth. I have a hard time getting them to eat pellets so only live food was offered. Babies will greedily take frozen bloodworms or anything live. Feed a lot or there will be cannibalizing. They tend to wait and strike. Not much swimming around. Hope this helps

Now that you mentioned it. I’ve seen them like twice and that was yrs ago.

I kept a few 5 years ago in a tank I threw tons of Wisteria to float in for cover. With starving I was able to get them to take frozen mysis and brine shrimp and if I remember rightly I think I may have gotten mine to take flake as well but they never even looked at pellets, just sank to the bottom. Never tried keeping them with tankmates either but as noted above females can be quite mean to males.
