I just got my first pleco he is an L66, sure would like to see some pics of your L48.

I have 2 of them and had them for 6 months or so, when I got mine they were tiny like maybe barley over an 1 inch but now both of mine are about 4 inches now (lots of bloodworms) They are very cool looking never seen a huge one in person? They do not look anything like my goldies tho, not even close on the coloring. The L048 are pretty much a dark brown to black with white spots shaped like a goldie spots. That is as close to a L014 as these guys get

MsMasspoly : you have some serious collection of plecos! Im very jealous. If you live near me, i'd be begging you to let me come see your collections! Im still jealous on your L25, you got so lucky to get hold of one!

I had a 12" specimen but he was killed by a secondary bacterial infection after my 14" L25 picked on him. Very mellow, not aggressive at all--my L14's also picked on him as well. A cool looking pleco--all black body with tiny white dots...almost looks like it has ich.

They look just like l-14 but no goldish yellow colour. Here a 5"-6" goes for about $50 each
