i have a gold fish larry i got a year ago from a gold fish toss game at the fair he was ment to be food but grew to big to be ate hes now 7 inchs i was just seeing if anyone eles has had this happen to them

Yeah they get huge and messy, I repaired a tank that a neighbor of mine was throwing away. So I bought a feeder gold fish to put in to make sure it was somewhat safe for fish once I was done fixing it. Well the fish lived and my wife said I should keep the gold fish in the tank. Well two years later it grew to almost a foot and must of weighed 5 pounds. It was huge and messy. The filters were constantly a mess. I actually got "lucky" when the bottem of the tank cracked and I HAD to get rid of the goldfish.
i have a gold fish pushing 16 inches and he has a companion at around 13 won them at the carnival four years ago at about two inches put them in my 20 grew like wildfire got to big for the twenty and at that point before i got my dovii that was the biggest tank i had so i kept them in a kiddie pool and eventualy gave them to my neighbor to put in his pond still alive next door in that pond i have my own pond now and want them back but my neighbor likes them to much
