I used to have some fire bellied newts and then some eastern newts at one point when i was a kid. I have seen FB newts at lfs, but i can't seem to find any other species here in central florida. I have a 10 gallon that i was thinking about housing 1-2 smaller newts in. anyone else have setups? feel free to show pics if you have them too. OH and if you have any online resources or know of someone seling some, i would be curious. thanks

cool! the fish dont bother him? I used to have mine in a setup that was almost all water an i believe it lead to stress and disease for them. they only had a piece of driftwood to climb to get out of the water
they become fully aquatic as they mature.. nah my oscar tried to get at him and the newt bit it back hhaa i fell in love lol
yea i got him for free at my lfs for helping the guy out. took him home and threw him in my tank he eats flakes and feeders
well i am going to setup about a 50/50 section of land/water and have the water about 6 inches deep to start with. I'm hung up on what cheap filtration i should use. i guess with frequent WC, a small sponge would be fine
