used to mate, pretty easy in a coldwater setup, keep it dark though mate with lots of hiding places if it is a juvie, and lots of dither fish, i had some roach & crucians and random goldfish, that brought the out of themselves, made them feed more confidently.

pellets, earthworms, bloodworms.....etc. i used catfish pellets, but found vegetable based carp pellets were probably better.

he was in a three footer with goldfish but then i got drunk and put him in with my clown loach. seems to be doing ok. hes about 4" currently, was told they grow quite quickly?
