Currious if anyone here has kept a Flier Centrarchus macropterus? I am about to place a fish order in the next week or two and I see that aquaculturestore.com has them. I am very curious about this fish but can't find much info on them.

There's a native fish keeper on YouTube that has some. Look for Bassmasteraquariumjosh on YouTube. He's got some in a 75 gallon tank.
I've kept them before ...wild caughts from Florida. I found that they are very shy and slow growing. I had some difficulty getting them to feed in my tanks, but when put out into my pond, they did much better. Here's a pic of a 4"er as I was pulling it out of my pond last fall.
Well I decided to go with two Fliers and also going to try three lake chubs. I imagine I will have to rehouse the chubs at a later time. Will post pics soon!
Mine weren't really that shy, but were in a densely planted tank. I found that they needed meaty foods, like worms and the like, otherwise they were prone to illness.
