Hi,
I need to replace the batteries in my (2) cordless phones. What I wanted to know was, does brand matter for batteries?

Batteries are nickel cadmium and they are 3.6 volt. So as long as they are NiCd and 3.6v I should be fine? Cause I notice there is alot of batteries, some say for AT&T phones or Panasonic, some even have like a model number like panasonic 5-2459 or something like that. I jsut wanna make sure that if I buy a battery it doesnt blow up on me or it doesnt work at all.
So whats it matter when buying batteries? Should brand and model be taken into consideration or just battery type and voltage? Thx

PS: These are house phone batteries and not Cell phones that I am asking about

usually cheaper just to by new phones.... radio shack and or online would be where you would look... just google your phones name and bateries for it

When i bought batteries for my phone i just took the phone with me to the store and asked what battery i needed. That way didnt have any wasted trips and problem solved. My replacement battery was like 6.99 or 7.99 and IMO thats quite a bit cheaper than any new phone. And once u replace the battery...it basically is a NEW PHONE....Good Luck...;)
