Someone recently gave me a 10g and i was going to grow some native fish in it and once they grow throw them into my 55g... But i dont know exactly how to setup one.. Any feedback would help alot. thanks

They are basically the same as many other tanks, native tanks usually just have native fish in them, you can collect minnows and other small fish that will fit into a 10g, make sure you are following your laws. Its always nice to grow real plants in the aquarium to mimic their natural enviroment but its not always needed. Personally i like to make mine look as close to a lake or river as possible, i've got plants and driftwood, lots of rocks, and i filled mine with sand i collected from the local lake here, you can basically do anything you like.

You're pretty much out of luck. From what I understand from other Colorado fish enthusiasts, all fish native to the state are off limits. You might be able to keep North American natives that don't occur in CO.

You cab keep natives that are found here, but its illegal to take live (key word) fish from the wild in this state. You have to buy them legally
