Anyone know how to treat a tank for leeches? I found one in my planted tank that ive been trying to start up for a few months. Big red sucker free swimming in the current. i am afraid there are more.

Gotta treat the tank with trichloroforn. It’s toxic stuff. Would remove the plants if u plan on saving and place them in a potassium permagnate bath for about 1hr.

Would throw out ur substrate.

Are there any fish in the tank? If you can take everything out then potassium permanganate will nuke any critters living in the tank.
