So you would have two fish will all the fins nipped up.........not a good idea.

I recently had Tiger Barbs and Exodons together......now just Exodons. -FM

No it is absolutely not "worth a try".
unless you are experienced with exodons, they are best keod in a species only tank. they will tear the barbs apart.
