Just wondering if anyone knows approx how many gallons per hour a 3/4"-1 inch pvc pipe on a overflow box would take out of a tank an hour that way when i get my DIY sump made and take into account for the tubing back up i will know where to shoot for or close to for my return pump.

Well, not to disagree with chompers, but it really depends on the style of siphon. A herbie or a bean handle MUCH more than a durso - by several hundred gallons (at least).

I am getting at the least 900 gph thru 1" durso's.

600 gph might have been the case had I used 90°'s. It all depends on yer plumbing techniques.

Well i'll hopefully be pushing close to 800 gph back into the tank hopefully its close to that after head loss and everything. plus i figure from the overflow the water will be slowed down by the trickle filter before it goes into the rubbermaid and it nothing else i can adjust it once i get it setup and i let it run for a bit to see what all is going on. but very true it could vary up to 900 gph or close to am actually gonna use flex pvc instead and i think i saw numbers at like 960 gph for it iirc correctly.
