anyone know what this loach is?

these guy have been showing up a lot with regular kuhli loaches. local people experts are saying that this is just a different color morph.
what do you guys think?

i am thinking that it might be just a calico kuhli myself as well. if it was a different species, we would not see so many mixed in with regular ones
