Anyone know where I can get black sand in bulk?

I have a 300g to fill up so I need quite a bit. I've read of using sandblasting sand...or black diamond or something like that. Where can I get that stuff?

Try petco or your lfs, I got mine from petco they have 20 lbs bags for like $16

I get a lot of black sand from my stepdads mine. He works on a blasting mine. Also completely free to me! Look around for local blasting sites

For 20 pound bags!? The op needs around 300 pounds for a good layer. That is a really high cost for that much. There would be hundreds of dollars invested. He would be better off going to blasting sights, or home depot.

tractor supply sells 50lb bags of black diamond blasting sand. about $8 a bag.
