I'm looking for a more modern stand and canopy then the basic wood painted black. Preferably in a espresso type color. Anyone see any modern looking setups at an LFS in SoCal. All the setups I've seen look way to generic so far.

same here. i have limited skills in the area of carpentry.
i'd rather buy because i can't make it. i was thinking about getting a canopy for one of my tanks. i went to a lfs and they gave me the contact information on a guy who makes their stands and canopies. i'd suggest you find a carpenter or cabinet maker. i also have a good friend who is a cabinet maker. he could tailor it to my exact specification. it would cost me . . .The google knows all.
