anyone knows jags native location?

well my question is about the different types of jags ive seen and would like to know where my jags are from? or if there are just plain hibrids. these are the pics:

my new purchase.

as you can see they have a difference between their mouth and color and im curious to know more about this species.
 
Their name, managuense, suggests the origine as near Managua Nicaragua. But they are found all over Central America, and have been transplanted as far north as Mexico, because they are considered a highly prized fish dinner.
 
Unless your fish is within a couple generations out of the wild, it is highly unlikely that it is any true "local variant"...

As with many/most CA Cichlids they range from the Yukatan Penn down to around the SA border...
 
They have been transplanted all over Central America, native range in Guatamala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Lots of variation within wild population from different locations too. Ken

thanks for the info its just i saw too many different charachteristics between them to be the same exact fish as there are lots of different pics at the axelrods atlas.

thanks, althou fish looks really different from one to another and they may be doing a couple, ill look further for their fry hope so.

thanks they are one of my favorite cichlids and dont know much about them.
