i was wondering if anyone here lives in covina and commutes to work in west los angeles or to downtown....im thinking of buying a house there but i work in west los angeles.........how long does it take you to do that drive in the morning and back at night?
OMG!!! What are you thinking?!?!?!? Sorry, that's my gut response!
On the unfortunate instances that I have had to drive from the Westside to Whittier, (just barely south of the 60 @ the 605) during high traffic times, (or on Saturday afternoons) it has taken 2 hours or more. I'm not sure how the 10 straight through would vary, but the portion west of downtown sucks.
I don't do that commute regularly, but I would kill myself if I had to. I hate traffic though, so maybe you are more tolerant. Good luck and HTH!
going towards downtown or westwood area would be high traffic in the morning after 6 or 7 am and coming back is traffic time to. the drive there will be over an hour
its a horrid drive... saddly i have to make that drive from time to time... the return trip has taken over 3 hours.... normaly it takes atleast an hour but calling it an hour and a half would be wise....
if you can head to work at 4 am and head home noon then yer good... other than that.... i hope you really really love sitting in your car..
