An island somewhere......
In case anyone is entertaining getting a Silver Arowana.... I stumbled across a few today while making my LFS rounds. They were average on price for 7"-8" Silvers at $37.00 but they were absolutely beautiful! Fins, tail.... barbells perfect! One had drop eye on one side. It appears they've been kept separated their entire life. They're shoved into a 10"x10" divided tank.... unfortunately. Located at Seaside Tropical Fish in Huntington Beach, CA.

ahah dude i was there today too! Nothing else there but those Silvers though..

drop eye already at 7-8" that's bad. It's a shame that they are kept separated. My 15 only bother each other when they are hungry. Other than than, they are usually in a ball all together swimming around each other.

15! That's what I want to do! I'd have to get them at 3" to get them to growout and get along!

Got a post to your tank Pete?

A friend and his brother went in half on about 90 wc silvers from columbia. My friend sold a bunch to this one guy who put them in a 10 gallon tank and killed them all. I bought his last 15. Mine are all doing well and eat market shrimp.

My friend had them eating Hikari pellets and market shrimp and NLS. They didn't like the pellets I had, so I ordered some sticks from a place that delayed for over 2 weeks and never arrived. I just ordered some Azoo 9 in 1 sticks from drsfosterandsmith to try. Also, going to add earthworms to their diet and live crickets as a treat.

I'll read the thread... I actually saw it in passing the other day! Very cool! Have the been in that tank the entire time or did the get moved from a growout tank? My next project for sure! Waiting for infinate aquatics to get more in!
