So today I went into Preuss Pets. I LOOOOVE this store. The staff are amazing, they really know their stuff, and are more than willing to yack it up with Customers. So I got my new Blue Ram bagged, and grabbed some Daphnia and Live Brine Shrimp, and then went around browsing (Notice I buy and then browse. I would leave with too much if I did the reverse!), and I got a peek at their incoming stock. BEAUTIFUL juvenille Turq discus, all in fantastic health, and top breeder quality. They look almost like F1 Heckels, simply stunning. They said they'd be sold around the 29th, at $30 each. Well worth it, they're gorgeous.
They're also QTing some awesome Polypterus senegalus senegalus, from really small guys up to pretty big ones. I never liked Polypterus, but this changed my mind.
Many many Electric Blue Jack Dempseys. I kinda just skimmed over them, but they looked nice.
Not too rare, but they also had some Hillstream Loaches for sale already. I've never seen them for sale, but they're neat little guys. They almost look like a very very tiny Stingray-Pleco mix.
Pretty sure I caught a glimpse of some Killifish, too.
3 Silver Arowanas at $50 each. I don't know about Aro prices these days, but compared to when I had one, they're cheap. They were about 5''
Apistogramma sp. Cichlids! I came seriously close to buying some. They had (on memory here) Panduro, Triple Red Cockatoos, Atahualpa, and about 4 elizabethae. I've never seen any Apistos for sale around here, so I don't think they'll be in stock long, if there isn't already a list.
Plus, their driftwood is really nice this week.
So, anyone in the lansing, Michigan area needs to get to Preuss Pets ASAP for these amazing pickups, not to mention their "norm" of many many Oddballs, Cichlids, and other smaller guys like Tetras, Shrimp, etc.
And if you've never been to Preuss Pets and you live in Michigan... kick your self, and then get in your car and go immediately. I promise you, you won't be disappointed.
