anyone own a spotted shovelnose?

ok so i found some spotted shovelnose catifsh online and they look really cool, anyone have any? all pix are welcome, as well as input and advice. oh yeah i have a 125 with ca cichlids, would it work?

I don't own one but have researched it because I like the shovelnose look and this one doesn't grow as big as the TSN. I think this one maxes out around 2ft. The only draw back I saw with it is that it prefers cooler water. I think planetcatfish.com has it liking water at 71F.

I think it might work in your 125 as long as your cichlids weren't overly territoral and aggressive. The width of your tank might be the only drawback on this as a long term hose for it.

ya i found them at petsolutions.com but they listed it as 20 inches

no, but the lfs near my house has 1 and when i looked them up the petsolutions page came up

There was an article about then in TFH last summer. Thats not that helpful, but they look like a sweet fish.

they can get up to 18" so u could do a 110 intill its about 11".
