anyone own fennec foxes?

I have a chihuahua that looks like fennec fox, with its small stature and monstrous ears, and I wanted to know if anyone kept these foxes at all??


I want one, but they are about a grand for one. Plus I don't have another seperate room for small animals since I used the last one for my chinchilla.

No, but I used to know someone online who kept one. he was happy with the fox. Can't remember many details. I'd suggest emailing a fennec keeper/ breeder directly.

the videos on youtube crack me up. How they squeel when they get excited and just like run all around with their huge foxtails wagging. That'd be a neat pet for sure.

This is crazy. I'm moving into my own house next year and my roommates and I are seriously considering getting a fennec fox. I've been doing a ton of research and even talked to a few breeders. Unfortunately, none of which are anywhere near me . But they seem like awesome pets. Females stay tiny and males get a tad bigger.
