i've kinda been putting my FW tanks on the back burner lately. i currently have LEDs over my reef tank and plan on them for my next reef too. i am throwing around the idea of them over my FW tanks. i've done research in the past for coral requirements while using LEDs but never looked too much into it for FW. i currently have some t5 bulbs but im tired of replacing bulbs every year or so when they begin to dim. i've been looking into with a 24 or 36 LED kit for my 125g and using u channel aluminum to mount them on and aluminum brackets to support them, which i've found relatively cheap at HD. it would be a very simple setup. has anyone else done something like this? would 24-36 be enough?

this is one company i've come across and heard good things about

I've seen some killer led builds on here, but haven't attempted yet. Search they are here. If you want to go easy led route I like the led floodlights also.
