Caught 3 eps on Sunday on Animal Planet. Very good, excellent shots of stuff you don't often see...breeding etc. Very cool. Not sure how many eps there are, they're showing a couple of the ones I saw already this weekend and a new one about snakes.

For all I know this thing is 5 years old and I'm the only one who's not seen it yet...but it's still cool :)

they showed the amphibian and the 2 lizard ones (i think one had snakes too) last saturday night. i was flipping channels back and forth but was really cool. the shingleback skink births were awesome

Yep I liked the shinglebacks and all the chameleons...and the flat lizards. I actually really liked the amphibian one, some of the mating & birth shots were fantastic and you rarely see good amphibian footage in general.

I started a thread about it when it first aired (here on bbc) earlier this year... it's 5 episodes I think, and SDA "last documentary" series as he has done one for all the classes now. I got the book too... some of the show is good, others not so good, some was stock footage I'd seen before, some wasn't. Definately worth watching them all, I'm sure they'll be out on DVD or Blu Ray soon.

I figured they must have been originally BBC docu's when I heard David. Looks like I haven't missed any then as I've seen 3 and a different one airs next weekend. Not sure I'd get them on DVD, maybe, I did get the Planet Earth ones which were quite good.

I have all his others so feel it would be an incomplete collection otherwise lol. There was some good behavioural stuff in the programmes that made it worth watching for me.
Just so you know if you've missed any, in order they are:
"The Cold Blooded Truth" - general looking of all reptiles and amphibians mainly about thermoregulation.
"Land Invaders" - amphibians
"Dragons of the Dry" - lizards
"Sophisticated Serpents" - snakes
"Armoured Giants" - crocs, turtles and tortoises

and apparently the dvd has been out since feb so I'm a bit behind lol.

OK it's official, I've seen the first 3 and still have the snake and turtle/croc eps to go. I may go ahead and grab the DVD's if I can find them and not too dear...I think my kids will like them anyway, my 6 year old daughter saw most of the Desert Dragons one and liked it, but my son missed them all and he likes everything herp-related (my wife thinks we're all nuts hehe).

I have planet earth and still have not watched 2 or 3 parts. Its killing me but I know how sad I will be that once watched then theirs no more.I just cant get enough of it and with the Jurasic Park guy I love it even more lol.The life in cold blood thing I have found on youtube, let me see.
