I know this is an old thread, but did anyone ever get any info of where these might be bought? Anyone get a group and get any bred? This is the fish in my profile avitar....I would love to find them. I've been looking for years.

They aren't available in the hobby that I am aware of. The only person I know who has them is Sam Borstein, but they are being used for his research.

So is the ban or whatever temporary or can anyone not go bring some back to breed? They aren't on any list for endangered are they?

They are my Fish-of-all-Fishes! Then I would only need a crew of Electric Blue Acaras in their own tank, and I would be set. Lol

No ban that I am aware of. Just not collected and imported.

They were once in the hobby but not that popular.
