Anyone selling Cinctas

Sounds more stressed than male.....do a couple water changes. They shouldn't be sexable till they are about 10 to 12" for cincta. Not sure if you can sex cincta the same way either. Pikes have an elastic stomach for a reason, they know when to stop eating. I've never had one die on me from over eating, and i feed mine A LOT, there must've been something else...as a side note...check aquabid.com they have pikes for sale a lotta the time....and Miles, as well as John import from Peru....so they should both have cincta.
 
1st hand witness to a pike OE. My orange ate 5 big rosies then ate 20 pellets. couldnt digest it all, woke up dead. His cincta did the same and mine swam up an uncovered filter tube I didnt think it could fit into.

"Cincta can be sexed by the white band on the dorsal as most of the big ones are" (VK) and shade of color. Until I saw the Marm with its huge white band I thought I had a female but my cincta has (now 8") an almost unnoticeable stripe and lesser color.

Yeah Ras. if I get vic's 75 soon Ill go for that peru order on some cinctas to find a mate and possible other pr. will empty the 55 if that happens. gotta get started on that pond too :woot: (if the parents let me :swear: )
 
guy, peanut_power is a pike master for a reason, and he specializes when it comes to the lugubris family of pikes, and the cinta happen to be in taht family. SOoooooooooooooooooo if I were going to follow anybodies advice, it would be of the power. :headbang2 :D
