Anyone successful with Brine Shrimp Grow Out?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They don't need an airstone, and clean water is probably worse for them than dirty. When I've been growing BBS I'd have a bucket that I pour the water from the hatching bottles through a net into. Always some spillage and or made it through the net and they'd grow quite happily in the bucket just left alone in the corner of the room.

What salinity for the water? 1.18?
Do you use aquarium salt like instant ocean?

So indoors in low light even worked for you? :)

Do you think they would survive in 88-95 degree
outdoor full sun weather? My balcony gets fried at noon.

I’m hatching some now with pickling salt.
I want to try again in 2 gallon bucket to grow out to adult.

Yeast is better than spirulina?

Hi,

I saw this video:

Any ideas how his brine shrimp are staying alive without airstone and in dirty water?

I think keeping them outside in not too deep tubs is the key and the algae and spirulina is making the water look dirty. Thanks for sharing
