Behind you
actually I am just curious if any of you have tried feeding bananas to your fish? i know it should be fed to monkeys or somthing but i would just like to know if it could be fed to fish as well. reason is that bananas are quite abundant here in my place (Philippines). and what fish could potentially feed on them.

Sure you can, just make sure you chop it up to bite sized pieces for the fish.

I feed my fish (goldfish) zuchini, lettuce, peas, soften apple, orange etc. My bristlenose pleco goes nuts for orange.

Just make sure it's only as a treat though, and not the main staple of their diet.

Oh ok, thanks for all the input guys! Does it float when chopped or does it it readily sink? Was wondering if it would be good for my clown loaches?

Honestly, you get more bang with your buck with sliced sliced zucchinis...My 30+ clowns demolish those...(one a day, every other day)

I guess pacu and gourami might like te treat but I would think that the banana would be messy.

RTCs, which are often thought of as predatory catfish, take fallen fruit in flooded forests. Not that banana is a fruit; it's a berry I'd think since banana "tree" is a grass... but I don't think it matters.

Mad barb is called that because it takes fermented berries and gets intoxicated and behaves as such.

Just a couple examples.
