Was wondering if anyone here has tried the inline Lifegard filters? i'm thinking of adding the Mechanical filtration module to my existing frshwater setup.
The only thing I'm running right now is a Wet/Dry, with a Mag Drive 700gph return pump. While the tank is very stable, and has excellent bio filtration, I would like to add something to remove smaller particles than my sponge and cloth filters on the wet/dry unit. But are these filters worth the money, or should i go a different route?
I have a 120g tank but have very limited space to hang filters, only supply lines, since its built into a wall, and only have access to one 18" side. My overflow already takes up 8" of that, and the 2x4 framing over the tank takes up another 6". The lifegard filters seem like theyd be perfect since i would only need to running supply/return lines, and mount/hide everything under the tank.
