Just wondering if any of you have had experience with this media. I am running a Fluval 405 on my planted setup but there was always debris in the water and just an overall cloudiness. I bought a container of this stuff and put it in my media basket. OVERNIGHT the tank was crystal clear. Plus the stuff is rechargeable! Does anyone forsee any drawback to using this type of chemical filtration? ie; removing trace elements or nutrients?

I used to use purigen on my planted tanks. I liked everything about it but the cost. Then I switched to Seachem's Renew. I liked it as well. From that I went to Denitrate. Also a good media and the cheapest/readily available of the three. Now I generally only run sponges and pads of various sizes. I still get good results.

I use lots of these packs, I have five in my 20 gal Sw setup. The stuff is what dreams are made of (plastic beads). LOL
