i have a 29g tank that is empty. i was thinking of making a crayfish tank. my lfs has a huge stock of them for only $2 each. what kind of land scape would i need for them? how many could i put in there?

You should have hiding places for the crayfish where other fish can't attack them, and where they will feel safe. Sorry about this last bit of info, but you can only keep 1 crayfish to a tank without the 2 crayfish fighting, and resulting in a lost claw, or leg. If you really wanted to, get a tank divider, and then you can get 2 crayfish. Try shrimp that are good together, like bumblebee shrimp, or a bamboo shrimp.

just make sure theres a cave or hiding spot for each. i would put 2-3. you should try to breed them.

i would only put 2 in unless you have a long tank with tons of hiding spaces.if you attach say 3 pieces of pvc piping side by side you could make Crayfish Condo's
