with their fish that was previously in a reptile tank?

i personally have never, but im sure it could work depending on if the wood was clean and what type of wood it is.

DUUUUUUURN that was fast, I was gonna boil it first. my main concern was just potential bacteria being transferred

boil for sure! Reptile "stuff" can absorb in the wood and mess up your water. IMO iwould get a different piece of wood...its generally not to hard to come by so why take the risk

It was just a couple of nice pieces of driftwood. I have boiled it 3 times today back to back with new water each time and now its gonna soak in the water overnight and tomorrow I will boil it 3 more times. I would imagine that will kill anything, that may have, ever or is living in or on the wood now

definitely, if its boiled then no real bacteria could still be living on it. as long as none of it deteriorates when you soak it then youre in the clear.

nah its stayed quite solid, just a lil heavier now than it was. I am trying to help the waterlogging process along

bacteria is easy to get rid of...actual substances soaked into the wood cannot be "killed" through boiling because they were never alive to begin with. That would be my concern

**although boiling could definately help to remove these too but its hard to say for sure.
